BURRUM SHORES TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

You must be 18 years of age to make a reservation and check in. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult such as a parent, step-parent, guardian or other responsible adult at ALL times. A child under the age of 18 must not be left unaccompanied at any time. This includes event weekends and school holiday periods.

Camp Sites – 12:00pm

Camp Sites – 11:00am

Shack – 10:00am

 

OFFICE HOURS:

Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Saturday – Sunday: 9:00am – 1:00pm

 

OCCUPANTS

Each site cost includes 2 adults and 2 children up to 16 years of age – all guests must be on the reservation.

Additional guests can be added if within the site limits and will incur a charge of $10 per child per, night and $20 per adult, per night on top of the original booking. Decrease in numbers at time of stay will not be refunded.

 

SITE ALLOCATION

We can take requests for specific sites within the area you have booked but this is not guaranteed and may not be where you are placed on day of check in. 

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE & WEATHER EVENTS

It is highly advised to look at travel insurance for cover due to unforeseen circumstances including weather events/conditions, event cancellations, medical expenses, health pandemics and loss or damage to personal baggage. Within the cancellation period of your booking, a refund will not be made due to weather conditions/events.

 

DEPOSIT PAYMENTS

All bookings regardless of how they are made are subject to a 50% deposit payable at time of booking (unless stay date is 3 months or less in which case full payment is payable at time of booking). Without a deposit payment your booking is not secured and may be cancelled without notice. 

 

AUTOMATIC PAYMENT FOR FINAL BALANCE OWING

Please ensure sufficient funds are available on the debit/credit card you have provided at the time of placing the initial booking when your final balance is due (3 months prior to your stay date). If our attempt at deducting the remaining balance is unsuccessful, your reservation is subject to automatic cancellation. In the event there is an outstanding balance on check out Burrum Shores will charge the first available card on file without notice. 

 

I/We agree that I am personally liable for all costs and charges incurred, in the event that any such costs and charges are not paid in full at check out, the first available card on file will be charged.

 

RISKS

Burrum Heads Beachfront Campground is a privately owned property. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who fails to accept our terms and conditions/conditions of entry. By entering the property you agree to the below rules and acknowledge that the below potential hazards are/may be present during your time on the property:

 

– Hot Ash/Open Fires

– Wire Fencing

– Beach access with no fence/lifeguard on duty

– Uneven steps/surfaces 

– Deep water/unfenced waterways

– Falling tree’s/branches 

– Snakes/Dingoes/Wildlife

– Fire/Flood/Strong Winds

 

USE OF CAMPGROUND EQUIPMENT

Any kayaks, paddle boards, or similar that are used by guests are used at their own risk, these are not the responsibility of Burrum Shores Beachfront Campground and are used at your own discretion and risk.

 

POTENTIAL FLOODING

Some camp sites are subject to potential tidal and severe weather flooding. In this instance this happens we will move you to another site if suitable or offer a full refund or credit. 

 

VISITORS

We DO NOT allow day visitors that do not hold a current booking or who are not visiting another guest. Visitors of in-house guests are subject to the authorisation of management. During peak/busy times, management reserves the right to deny visitors entry to limit the amount of patrons using our facilities and for safety concerns. All visitors must stop at the front gate and call our caretaker prior to entering the property.

 

GENERATOR USE

The use of generators is STRICTLY limited to our sunset sites only. The generator must not exceed 2kva, must not exceed 65 decibels at 7m and can only be used between the hours of 10am and 5pm. There are no exceptions to these rules. 

 

USE OF BIKES/SCOOTERS

Bikes and scooters are at the responsibility of owners and or parents and any areas ridden within our park at your own risk.  E-scooters and E-bikes are only to be used within the park with a max speed of walking pace. We take no responsibility for the damage or theft of any equipment owned by guests.

 

UNEXPECTED WEATHER EVENTS

All campsites are the responsibility of each guest and must ensure secure fixing of their sites and items are able to stand up to the nature and winds / weather events – this is not the responsibility of the park.

 

Guests will not be refunded or credited should they choose to leave/arrive later due to bad weather.

 

LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS

All items are the responsibility of the guest and Burrum Shores will not be responsible for any stolen or lost items.

 

CAMP FIRES

There will be a total fire ban in the summer months. 

 

Fires are only permitted in raised fire pits and can only be within our park – NO FIRES PERMITTED ON THE BEACH.  All visitors are responsible to extinguish fires at the end of the night and ash must be cold by check out day for disposal.  NO ASH IS TO BE LEFT AT SITE

 

Collecting firewood inside parks and campgrounds can degrade habitat and biodiversity, while bringing firewood into a park can introduce pests and diseases.  Therefor we ask all guests to purchase firewood on site, strictly NO firewood to be brought in or collected around the property or off the beach.

 

GREY WATER COLLECTION

All grey water must be collected (can be emptied on trees at edge of property)

 

GROUP BOOKINGS

The main guest/master guest is responsible for advising all guests that form part of their reservation, the rules and regulations of the property.

 

PARTIES/EVENTS

No schoolies groups or parties/events.

 

WILDLIFE

All food items must be put away and sealed in containers at all times along with bins to be covered to prevent wildlife from approaching.  

Please be vigilant at all times especially night times if using bathrooms – please ALWAYS watch your children.

 

WASTE/RECYCLING

We have general waste and can recycling bins. There is to be no dumping of camp equipment in the general waste bins or anywhere on the property.

 

BEHAVIOUR

Any unruly behaviour will not be tolerated and management has the right to cease your stay with no credit given.

 

VEHICLES

One car per campsite, trailers and extra cars will need to be parked away from site and up to onsite host to advise of visitor parking.

 

NOISE

We ask that everyone to be mindful and courteous of your and our neighbours and from 9pm keep noise to a minimum.

 

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By making this booking you acknowledge that you are a tourist guest/s and are given the right to enter and occupy Burrum Shores Beachfront for holiday short stay purposes only.

 

By accepting these Terms & Conditions, I/We agree and acknowledge that by entering the property myself, my guests and visitors all do so at our own risk, and the Owners/Management shall not be liable for any such injury, death or property loss and/or damage, including but not limited to the use of the camp kitchen, swings, kayaks and other facilities. I/We agree that I am personally liable for all costs and charges incurred, in the event that any such costs and charges are not paid in full at check out, the first available card on file will be charged. 

 

All terms and conditions within are subject to change at the discretion of Management without notice. In the event there is an outstanding balance on check out Burrum Shores will charge the first available card on file without notice.
